Professor Nicholas Deakin's term of office as Chair of CGAP came to an end in October 2009, and we would like to give him our heartfelt thanks for the enormous contribution he has made to establishing the Centre. Addressing the challenges of a new initiative, Professor Deakin has brought CGAP's multiple stakeholders together, developing its governance and management structures, and supporting Centre members. We are pleased to welcome Professor Arthur Williamson as his successor.
