Social investment for the 21st century
CGAP at Strathclyde Business School held an event in partnership with TSRC and the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship entitled 'Social investment for the 21st century' on 5 November.
This event provided an opportunity for social entrepreneurs, social enterprises, social investors and supporters of social enterprise including policymakers and researchers to discuss new and emerging forms of social investment and to consider the relevance of current practice, research and policy in social investment, entrepreneurial philanthropy and wealth redistribution for social purposes, including social innovation.
Professor Eleanor Shaw and Professor Mairi Maclean from Spoke 1 of CGAP presented on Entrepreneurial Philanthropists: new partners in the 21st social economy? (pdf)
