Engaging with the arts: Donor Cultivation Masterclass

Jul 11, 2011 | Category: Fundraising

CGAP has partnered with Arts & Business Scotland (ABS) and developed a Philanthropy Masterclasses Series. The Series showcases leading examples of effective practice, outlines existing research knowledge and provides practical lessons for participants. This accompanies a co-produced research project between CGAP and ABS, being led for CGAP by Tobias Jung and Hannah Pavey.
The Masterclass took place on 15th June in Edinburgh and focused on donor cultivation. The session entitled ‘Passion into Pounds – donor cultivation’  looked at examples from practice, explore the existing knowledge on and challenges to donor cultivation for Scottish arts organisations and provide guidance on effective fundraising approaches.
Speakers at the event included CGAP’s Jenny Harrow, David McKinnon, Corporate Business Development Manager, The National Trust for Scotland and Alice O’Rawe, Major Gifts Fundraiser, Queen’s University Belfast.
