ARVAC: Association for Research in the Voluntary and Community Sector is a membership organisation and acts as a resource for people interested in research in or on community organisations.

CPHSJ: Centre for the Study of Philanthropy, Humanitarianism and Social Justice is committed to understanding the contributions of philanthropy, charity and humanitarianism to the development of humane forms of society.

ESRC: The Economic and Social Research Council funds research and training in social and economic issues.

ERNOP:More than 40 researchers in 15 European countries join in ERNOP's mission statement to advance, coordinate and promote excellence in philanthropic research in Europe.

Giving USA: Giving USA’s mission is to advance research, education and public understanding of philanthropy.

ISTR:  International Society for Third Sector Research is a major international association promoting research and education in the fields of philanthropy, civil society and the nonprofit sector.

NACC: The Nonprofit Academic Centers Council is a membership association comprised of academic centers or programs at accredited colleges and universities that focus on the study of nonprofit organizations

VSSN: Voluntary Sector Studies Network functions to promote the advancement of knowledge about, and understanding of, organisations between the market and the state.
